About me:

I’m a full-blooded Minnesotan teaching Natural Sciences at a community college in the Twin Cities.  Words cannot describe my joy to have roosted for good in my home state where I can slow down and take in all good things.

I love rocks and I love trying make other people love rocks (sorry students!). When I’m not loving rocks (and my statistician husband), I’m loving my mostly failing attempts at domesticity. On the list of things to get better at: gardening, cooking, DIYing, knitting, sewing, bauble construction, and board games.  I have ways to go with all of them!

In 2010 we added a new member to our family, and what started as a largely craft/gardening blog has now morphed into a place where I overshare every minute of our son’s life.

The Nitty-Gritty:
